SECOND WEEK

With Xabier we continue studying PHP, learning more ways to program in this programming language. For now we didn´t do anything else.

With Javier we still learning the comands for Ubuntu and also we are doing more things with Windows Server on SQL SERVER. For example thsi week we had to do a work about the commands to use in SQL SERVER. Nothing more about this teacher.

With Ricardo we started learning things about security, exactly about encryptation and codification of files. Also we continue configuring the server we had created last week.

Finally, with Ane we have created our own business, and with a "canvas" we selected the best point to consider to start with our imaginary business.

This week hasn’t changed much, we have continued with previous tasks and we’ve seen some new things related to them:

In Database Management we have been learning how to create, delete and modify data files and log files from our databases. We have also learned how to create a database with more than one data/log file and creating a file group to add them at the same time we create the database.

In Operative System Management we have continued with more commands and file permissions. The command he have used the most this week is “fdisk”, which is used to create, delete and modify partitions. After creating a partition, we had to format it with “mkfs” command and mount it in a directory with the command “mount”.

In Internet and Network Services we have continued configuring the DNS, so nothing new cause I already finished it last week. We are going to start with DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) soon.

In Security and High Availability, we have learned about symmetric, asymmetric and hybrid cryptography. After that we saw some brief summary about MD5 algorithm, which is widely used for hash functions. Hashing refers to create a “summary” of a file to compare it with another summary.

In Web Application Deployment we have continued with PHP language, this week we have learnt the function “mt_rand” which generates a random number that you can assign to a variable. We are still learning the basis of the language so we aren’t learning too many new things until we “perfectly” know the previous ones.

In PHP with Xabi we continue doing exercises and and doing and learning more variables.

With Ane we´ve started to do our own proyect and then our business. Doing our logo and organization chart and things like that.

With have Javi in linux we´re studying and doing more exercises and learning new comands and  in Database Management we have studied how we can create a Database, copy it, delete and like that.

And finally with Ricardo finish installing the DNS and prepared to install the DHCP services. In the other subject with him we learn things about encryptation and symmetric and asymmetric and asymmetric and find in Internet those words.
